Production blog - The end!
Hope you’re having a great day bloggers and welcome back, it’s Mela! This blog is all about the finishing touches and editing that went into my commercial. One of the biggest changes I made was I actually changed one of my videos and photos. I changed the video of me as a child playing dress up to a video of me playing soccer. I liked the way this looked better and it showed my passion for soccer more. I also switched the photo of me at my first soccer game to me at camp with my work crew. Volunteering at camp was quite a big part of my summer and was such a wonderful experience that it deserved to be put in my commercial. I know it was a last minute decision but I am much more confident in my commercial now. I finished adding texts and captions to the photos and videos using Vont. I also made the text on the media smoother by adding transitions to the captions. I decided to add fun stickers/gifs to some of the clips to make it unique using an app called VLLO.
Besides that I put animations to all the clips to make it more lively instead of just the plain photos and videos. I also ended up slowing the speed/pitch of my audio. I did this as it ended up matching with the video better and I also needed more time in the intro video before the beat drops so slowly the audio down gave me more time. I did this using Videoleap. Most importantly I added a title to the beginning of my video “My life” and then put my name. I also changed the transitions from fade in to an “old film” transition that you’ll see in the commercial to give it a nostalgic appearance. Another small detail is I added some background noise from the actual video to make them more wholesome such as a video of my friends laughing; I included the audio of us laughing on a rollercoaster. Finally I was ready to export my videos after making all these finishing touches. I saved it to my camera roll and made sure I was 100% happy with it. The process of making this commercial was very fun and my commercial does a great job of showcasing who I really am. :)
