Reflection

Hi it’s Mela and this is my reflection blog! Overall making my project was a fun and creative process.   What new technology did I learn to use?        I learned many new techniques and skills in class and on my own. Such as learning how to embed code, adding transitions, text, and even learning to film different angles when I was filming my intro/outro. Additionally using different apps like Capcut to combine clip. Videoleap to edit music making it sound smoother. Along with Vont to add texts/captions to the commercial. Also adding transitions onto the text which is something new I learned. The use of all these elements helped me create a commercial I am very proud of.  What did I learn about the process of putting a project together?      Beyond the editing and technology I also learned the process of creating a project/media. A big key of making my commercial I realized was time management. Time goes by a fast between making blogs, filming, and editing. Otherwise it’s easy to

Production blog - The end!

Hope you’re having a great day bloggers and welcome back, it’s Mela! This blog is all about the finishing touches and editing that went into my commercial. One of the biggest changes I made was I actually changed one of my videos and photos. I changed the video of me as a child playing dress up to a video of me playing soccer. I liked the way this looked better and it showed my passion for soccer more. I also switched the photo of me at my first soccer game to me at camp with my work crew. Volunteering at camp was quite a big part of my summer and was such a wonderful experience that it deserved to be put in my commercial. I know it was a last minute decision but I am much more confident in my commercial now. I finished adding texts and captions to the photos and videos using Vont. I also made the text on the media smoother by adding transitions to the captions. I decided to add fun stickers/gifs to some of the clips to make it unique using an app called VLLO.          Besides

Hi welcome back to my blog! I’m getting closer and closer to wrapping up my commercial. I started off by finishing filming my introduction and ending that I started in my previous blog. It took quite a while but I finally finished. After recording I started editing it, such as shortening or slowing/speeding up necessary parts of the video. Additionally I enhanced the video too, such as raising saturation and changing the brightness/exposure. By editing and enhancing both my introduction and conclusion I was now able to implement it in my commercial. Starting by adding the introduction to the start of my video. I made sure it synced up with my audio by making any adjustments to the sound. I then added key frames to the end of the video before the transition so that it zooms in slowly to transition to my commercial. I also edited a fade in transition to the intro of the video.      Furthermore I added my ending video to the end of my commercial. Again making sure it matches my aud

Hey everyone Mela here! Let’s catch up on my commercial progress. While I originally wanted to just show the videos and photos in my commercial. I decided to take a more creative route by adding an introduction and ending to my commercial. It’s going to consists of me in my room on my bed and i open my computer to do work and I see on my home screen the commercial. Then I open it and play the commercial from my computer and then it transitions into the actual commercial! For the ending after the commercial edits it will zoom out to the computer screen and back to my room and me. Of course I have to film all this so that’s what I’ve started doing.           I haven’t finished that yet but I’ve also worked on other elements on my commercial. Such as sizing my photos and videos to a 5:4 ratio. I also edited my audio by bass boosting it to make it sound better using Videoleap. I also used the fade in feature on Capcut so the music will get louder when the intro transitions to the co

Hey bloggers it's Mela again! Hope you are having a great day! Recently I've started to work on my commercial about me. My first step was downloading the materials necessary to create my commercial. As mentioned in my introduction blog I am familiar with some editing software already such as Imovie and Capcut. However, I decided to download some new apps with different features to create a more unique commercial. Videoleap, VLLO, and Vont are all the new apps I installed to work on my commercial or other projects in the future. After downloading the apps, I wanted, I started planning the order in which I wanted my commercial to be. However, before that, I decided to edit my photos and videos to make them how I liked. I did this by shortening some of the videos to my desired length.          After, I adjusted the effects of the videos such as the brightness, exposure, saturation, etc. I did the same for my photos. As some of them were from many years ago so the quality

Hi it's Mela, welcome back! Throughout the process of selecting the media I wanted to use for my commercial I had one main goal in mind and that was to pick out stuff that represented me and I was passionate about. For my photos I chose photos that illustrated things that were important to me. Such as, a picture from the day I adopted my dog Blu who was only a puppy, not to mention I was also very young myself. I also picked a photo of me playing soccer when I was about 8 to show how long I have been playing for and my dedication to sticking to it. Additionally another picture I chose is of my mom and I in Trinidad I chose this because my mom is very important to me and she’s an incredible mom. Trinidad is also where my mom is from and it’s one of my favorite places to visit and see my family. Speaking of places I also enjoy going to the beach so I wanted to make sure I included some photos of the beach. One of the photographs is of me at the beach with my cousins, dad, an
