My group for the Music Video

      Hey bloggers Mela here! So far I’ve done the first steps of planning for my music video. Such as picking my group and of course my song. For my group I am working with Emerson Botknecht, Kemora Whitelocke, and Lindsay White. They are all in my grade (tenth) and I have known them before the start of this project. I chose them because I know they are all very talented and can equally contribute to our project. For example Kemora is skilled at producing and editing. While Emerson is great at brainstorming ideas. Lindsay also is great at editing and has a good eye for unique ideas. Overall as a group everyone is hardworking and puts in the time to get things done. They all have great work ethnics. As well as they don’t submit work late which is important for a group project to run smoothly. 

      The song my group and I decided on was All The Stars by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Released in 2018, it is originally from the Black Panther movie soundtrack. I myself  remember listening to it while watching the movie and loved it. Speaking of Kendrick Lamar you may remember how I also used a Kendrick song for my commercial as well which is ironic. To me this song is associated with positivity and lively energy and puts people into a good mood. My group enjoys listening to this song and thought this was the perfect choice for the theme we have in mind for our music video. It’s upbeat but has different elements such as both singing and rapping and the diverse use of music/beats that make it an entertaining song. I am looking forward to start working on this project and to be working with such an amazing group. I can already tell our music video is going to be awesome!

Production blog - Filming is done!

    Hello bloggers and welcome back! My group and I have finished our filming process. I filmed today on saturday and filmed the car, restaurant and beach scenes. It started by my friends coming over around 12. While the plan was shot at the beach at night due to it being spring break Lindsay’s parents did not want her at the beach at night I had to make changes. I told everyone to bring the same costumes from before. Once everyone arrived my group and I changed into our costumes which was the sun dresses. Then my group first started in the car. In order to film the dialogue films I made sure the car was parked as it would be dangerous to try to act while driving. I took a short clip when my group was actually driving as a quick clip to add.           Hey bloggers it's Mela again! Hope you are having a great day! Recently I've started to work on my commercial about me. My first step was downloading the materials necessary to create my commercial. As mentioned in my introduction blog I am familiar with some editing software already such as Imovie and Capcut. However, I decided to download some new apps with different features to create a more unique commercial. Videoleap, VLLO, and Vont are all the new apps I installed to work on my commercial or other projects in the future. After downloading the apps, I wanted, I started planning the order in which I wanted my commercial to be. However, before that, I decided to edit my photos and videos to make them how I liked.
