Production blog - Filming is done!

Hello bloggers and welcome back! My group and I have finished our filming process. I filmed today on saturday and filmed the car, restaurant and beach scenes. It started by my friends coming over around 12. While the plan was shot at the beach at night due to it being spring break Lindsay’s parents did not want her at the beach at night I had to make changes. I told everyone to bring the same costumes from before. Once everyone arrived my group and I changed into our costumes which was the sun dresses. Then my group first started in the car. In order to film the dialogue films I made sure the car was parked as it would be dangerous to try to act while driving. I took a short clip when my group was actually driving as a quick clip to add. When everyone arrived at the restaurant everyone walked in and got seated at a table. Once my group and I were seated. One of the biggest problems I faced was Emerson forget to bring her tripod. This made it harder as I had to rely on the group to film.

Once our waiter came to the table I asked if they were ok being in part of our film to ask for our drink orders and thankfully they agreed. They even said they would record it for us. The waiter recorded everyone ordering their drinks. Then sticking to the script Emerson and I go to the bathroom. Lindsay puts the fake poison in Emerson’s drink. Then acting out the following scenes. Next was the beach scenes where I had to act out finding Emerson’s body. The beach was very busy which made it hard to act natural but I managed. The final scene my group had to film is where Lindsay drowns me. This one was most challenging as there was really only one take since once I get wet it will be noticeable that I did multiple takes. So I talked with Lindsay how it was going to go and shot the scene. To be honest this part was the hardest for me as there were people everywhere and it was an embarrassing scene but it was worth it for the video! I am so happy to have finished filming and now can move to the editing, see you all in the next blog!
